Tamas Podhraczky was born in 1979 in Szeged, Hungary. He had his first influences in childhood from a traditional puppet maker carving in wood.

He started off as a stone carver from an art school where he was trained in academic sculpture and drawing. In 2001 he continued his studies at The Hungarian University of Fine Arts under Gyorgy Jovanovics. During the period he encouraged himself to experiment with materials and to take journeys to other directions such as abstraction, constructivism. Besides this, his main interest still remained the representation of human figure which led him to win the Prize Barcsay in human anatomy.

After graduating, from 2006 he started working as a key sculptor for Films and Theaters which brought him to get new perspectives in the makeupfx industry.

While working for commissions, he started modelling miniatures and small scale figures that are mostly charactarized by humor and irony.

From 2018 he turns back to more of a traditional academic way fused by his own natural approach.
